The aim of the Directors of the Catholic Press, in publishing the present work, has been to meet the want of a classical Arabic-English Dictionary, which while comprehensive, yet might be handy and cheap enough for practical use amongst the students desirous of acquiring a thorough knowledge of Arabic literature and poetry.
