Tutorial: Installing Arabic fonts on Windows 7
Background: I’ve looked everywhere online for a tutorial that explains (if possible at all) how to install Arabic Fonts on Windows 7, to be able to read Arabic fonts on the web, especially on chat rooms like in Paltalk, or web-based chats, etc. I finally figured it out! Now, since there isn’t anywhere on the web a tutorial to get this done, I have created one if anyone needs it.
Operating System in question: Microsoft Windows 7

This is how some softwares look like when Arabic Font Setting is not configured !!
Follow the steps below; in case you get lost anywhere, each step has a screen shot
-
Click the windows logo (Start)
-
Click Control Panel
-
Under Clock, Language, and Region, click Change keyboards or other input methods
-
Under the Administrative tab, click Change system locale
-
Now select the Language/country of choice, like Arabic (Iraq), etc.
-
Finally, click Restart for the change to take effect
After restarting you should be able to See Arabic
Note:
Your Windows 7 will remain in its main language (ie: English as in this tutorial ) interface, icons and themes will not be effected with this configuration.
If you are looking to change the language of the interface and icons you can install the Arabic pack Microsoft.com Windows 7 language packs works only on Windows 7 Ultimate and Enterprise editions
